Who's behind Orlens

There isn't enough deep photography content in Hebrew aimed at the Israeli photographer — the way we shoot here, the way we market to local audiences, our regulations. Most existing Hebrew courses are shallow English translations or scattered YouTube tutorials. I wanted something direct, deep, and tailored.

No tricks. No shortcuts. Every lesson is what I'd want to receive myself when I started. Short focused video, chapter timestamps, school-style summaries you can hold in your hand, slides for solo work, and AI image critique to close the loop between watching and practice.

Orlens is built around two distinct tracks. The Photographer — light, composition, narrative, the art of wedding. The Business — contracts, Israeli VAT, marketing to local audiences, sales. They complement each other, but you can take just one.

I found that the religious-Haredi sector has almost no professional photography content that respects the community and knows how to work with it. I built a separate course with the right emphasis — practice, modesty, communal context.

Mostly self-taught — online, on my own — plus one year at a college I left because it felt sprawling, full of things no one really needed. That experience is what pushed me to build Orlens — to teach what's actually required, focused, no clutter. I work out of Bet Shemesh, shooting weddings at home and abroad — the US, Russia, the Netherlands, Spain, and Belgium. I have no awards — I never entered competitions. My reward is the moment a client sees themselves in a photograph the way they never have before.

The studio is currently built around three courses — The Photographer (technique and art), The Art of Wedding, and a dedicated track for the Haredi sector. Video lessons with transcripts, working materials, smart AI image critique, and a community of Hebrew-speaking photographers. V1 is live now.
